SAMSON

Dear Val,

You may remember that my boyfriend and I adopted a 4 month old mini lop from you around about 3 weeks ago?  At the time, Samson (we've kept his name as it suits him!) was very scared and skittish and I don't think he'd been used to much human contact.  Anyway, he has settled into his new home really well (see pictures attached) and we love him to pieces.  He simply adores carrots and he's pretty much getting the hang of litter training although he is not quite there yet!

He can still get startled quite easily and he doesn't like being picked up at all but we are spending as much time with him as possible and we are trying to get him used to human contact and hopefully soon he will no longer see us as a threat!

I'll update you in a short while.

Many thanks for introducing us to Samson and keep up the good work

FLOSSY & BILLY

Hello - things are going very well with Flossie, as you can see from
the photo! We put her and Billy together straight away and they
immediately made friends, with no fisticuffs at all. She's a lovely
rabbit and the kids (6 of them!) are thrilled. Thank you very much
for seeing us this morning and for all your advice.

PEPPER & TRUFFLE

Hi Val

Sorry its been a while - have just finished exams so now trying to catch up with myself.

I am very pleased to say that we love our new rabbits as much as Mary and Charlie now.  Once Pepper has established that he was in charge, he and Truffle now make a beautiful pair and are best friends.  They both adore to be stroked and loved and are spending every day out in the garden in their new pen.

Truffle is very small and had a few skin and dietry problems at first but with the help of our vet, she is now much better and has even put on weight ! Lottie (the dalmation) loves them and will lick their ears at every given opportunity as you can see from the photos

Thanks you so much for finding them both for us and helping Pepper to be sociable - we knew you would win in the end !

Lots of love

DAISY

Hi Val,

I hope you're well. A couple of months ago, I became the proud owner of Daisy who is such a great bunny rabbit. She has a very good temperament, is loved by everyone who meets her and is a real joy to have as part of the family. She is in very good health and has recently had her vaccinations for which she was very brave. We've recently moved to a new flat and as part of a welcome present our landlord bought some carrots for Daisy to welcome her to the new flat! Now that we have moved to the West of London we are closer to my favourite pet store, we have a really good vet around the corner so that I don't need to take Daisy on the tube again and we're close to Hyde Park which Daisy will be able to enjoy from her play pen.

Thanks again for helping me become the proud owner of a very special bunny. I have attached a couple of photos for you.

Best Regards,
Natalie

He did a binky today :) I'll forward you some pictures of him soon.
I think we need to get him neutured as he's sexual with his toy and my leg haha

MRS RABBIT & HOPPITY POPPET

Hi Val,

Here are some photos of Mrs Rabbit and her new boyfriend, Hoppity Poppet. They make a very happy couple! Hoppity Poppet is managing really well with 3 legs and he loves to sit upright on his back legs and have a good look around! Mrs Rabbit is becoming less nervy and I think having  Hoppity Poppet around is helping her to gain in confidence, which is great.

Thanks so much for reserving Hoppity Poppet for me and Mrs R!

BUDDY

Hi Val,

I'm sorry it's taken so long, but here are some photos of Buddy - our mini flop adopted from you just before Christmas.  He is absolutely adorable and has a perfect temperament - he loves being around people and runs circles around you when you come home! He does the cutest bunny flops but isn't a very good jumper (which saves our sofa I suppose!) He is also fully potty-trained; perfect!

Thank you for letting us adopt the perfect bunny,

Sami

WILLOW & HONEY

Dear Val,

Hello! I homed two rabbits from you at Easter. They are loving their new home, a
converted chicken run in the garden made rabbit friendly with lots of space to
play!! Now renamed Willow and Hunny Bunny, they are gradually becoming more
friendly and particularly like running free in the garden, stripping bark of my
apple tree ad tearing a cardboard box to shreds ( fresh one issued every week!).
Pics attached!

BUNNY & BUNNY

Hi Val

Thought you'd like to know that the two rabbits I picked up from you a couple of
months back are doing great and making light work of demolishing every plant
starting to come up.
Needless to say they're a fantastic duo and I love having them about.
Continuing my tradition of rabbit naming they're both called "Rabbit" (makes it
easier to remember).

Many thanks once again
Jonathan

MATRON & HUDSON

Hi There

Just to let you know how well Pickle & Bramble have settled in. They have been renamed (by my niece) Matron & Hudson, and have really made themselves at home. They have took to home in my flat really well. They have a puppy pen for their litter boxes and food, but otherwise, free range. Hudson only has 1 very small incisor , so likes his greens shredded, and Matron, the big girl, who is really a boy, is the most confident rabbit ever. They are loving and funny and the best company you could wish for, so best of luck with homing your rabbits,

All the best

ARCHIE VALENTINE

Hey Val,

My boyfriend Mark and I came to get a bunny just before Valentines as a present for me! I was a bit indecisive but we took the one of your bunnies who we have named Archie Valentine!

He was very timid at first but after a month has turned into a really cheeky little fella who loves to binky around everywhere! We love him to pieces and we are thinking about coming back soon to get him a girlfriend, just need to get him castrated first

Thanks so much for all you do Val, your a star

ELSA

Hi Val

Thought i would give you an update on the female bunny that i got from you last year.  You had only received her one or two days before i came to see you and she had not been looked after properly, her head was all matted and she was very nervous.

Well she has settled into her rabbit mansion, along with her resident boyfriend Billy who i brought along to introduce to her at yours.

They are inseperable now, for the first week, he got put in his place a few times, but that was expected.

They love having a mad run round the garden and with the frequent bouts of snow, have have fun investigating this white stuff! and the only way they seem to want to investigate it, is by sticking their faces in it as you can see in the attached photos!

I have renamed her ELSA...as in ELSA THE LIONhead!  She is still not happy with being picked up, but now approaches me and lets me stroke the top of her head, which is along way from when she first arrived.  Cant wait for the summer months again as she loves to lay down on the lawn lapping the sun up while billy is busy running about all over the garden.

Keep up the good work and thanks again

BERTIE

Hi Val,

Sorry it's taken so long to send these to you but here are some pictures of Bertie one of the babies we adopted from you way back in June.
He is such a great character and is a constant source of entertainment and amusement.
Needless to say we love him to bits.
Hope you and all the bunnies are well.

MRS RABBIT & BENJAMIN

Hi Val,

I adopted a lovely black rex dwarf female rabbit from you at the end of last September, who I've named Mrs Rabbit. I'm really sorry it's taken me so long to send you some pictures of her. She's doing well and seems a happy bunny.

Sadly, the same cannot be said of Benjamin, who I adopted from Pets at Home about a week before I adopted Mrs Rabbit from you. After taking Benjamin for a check up with Margit, it transpired that he had a chronic bone infection (one of the worst Margit had ever seen, in fact she thought it was a malignant tumour at first) and very sadly, the kindest thing was for him to go to sleep a few weeks ago.

I made a complaint to Pets at Home - locally and to their HQ, because poor Benjamin had been sitting in his cage in their shop for 6 months without ever having had a vet check him. His notice said he was 'grumpy and best not suited to children'. I am convinced it was his infection which caused him pain, that's all, and he could have been treated for it over those 6 months.  I couldn't believe how negligent PAH had been. PAH did refund the cost of  Benjamin's initial consulation and treatment (£220 - Margit had to do a biopsy to find out if he had cancer) and said they would look at improving procedures in the shop. I'm very sceptical whether anything will change though and I worry for the other animals there.

On another note, I'm free any work evening Mon - Thurs for 1 -2 hours if I can help with anything. I'm happy to make it a regular commitment. I can''t do Mon at 11.00 am unfortunately.

BENJI

Hi Val,

I picked up a 2 and a half year old black/grey/white netherland dwarf from you about a week and a half ago. He's doing really well.

I just wanted to ask what brand of bedding you use and which hay you give the rabbits? Benji (his new name) just doesn't eat the timothy hay I got, so I have tried him on Meadow hay from Supreme Pets in Lewisham which he doesnt appear to like either. So I just wanted to see if this is something you may have noticed with him in particular? I will get some taster hay packs from the 'Hay Experts' online and see which one he will eat. He now loves his fruit and veg ( I understood he wasn't keen) especially carrots and green beans on the odd occassion and enjoys playing with his ball and running around the lounge. I've attached a photo of him in his new home.

Thanks

Nikki

HAMISH & FLOSSIE

Hi Val,

As promised, I am sending you some pictures of Flossie (brown) and Hamish (grey/chinchilla), who I gladly rehomed on about 5th December.  They are brother and sister and part of a litter of 8 week old babies you had recently taken in as a result of their parents being mis sexed – not sure if you remember them?

Anyway, they have now both had their Myxi and VHD jabs and I’m waiting a few more weeks before Hamish can be castrated as he is bothering Flossie a LOT!  Saying that, I think she’s the dominant one as, although they’re both keen on grooming each other, she gets more than her fair share.  Girl Power!

I’m attaching a few pictures so you can see how they are growing.  In some of these, you’ll notice they have really been enjoying the snow.  They are house bunnies and took no house training at all, they just did it in their litter tray from day one.

They’re both settling in perfectly to their new home and love nothing more than grazing on veggies, straw, hay, pellets etc. and then sparking out in front of the fire.  I can’t wait until the summer to see how they’ll behave outside having a run round.

I can’t imagine life without them now, they really make my house a ‘home’!

Anyway, thanks again and I hope the rescuing is still going well.  It saddens me how many people abandon these lovely, intelligent, loveable animals but at least there are people like you and me to give them a better life that they deserve.

Alison, Flossie and Hamish

EPSILON

Hello,
I adopted a rabbit from you in August and though i would send you some photoes of his frist christmas with us. We have called him Epsilon, he is really well behaved and well trained. He must be the friendliest rabbit ever, he jumps up to see anyone who walks past, he would have me cudderling and stroking him all day. We took him to the vets went we first got him so hes had all his jabs and is all heathy.
Thanks
Louise

BOB

Hi Val sorry for the delay, things just get so hectic and the days just roll on by.  Anyway here's a photo for you, tried to get him in the foreground but he wouldn't perform for the camera!

My son has renamed him Bob and they are great together, he's always being groomed by her (Pikachu) and they snuggle down together, it's lovely to see, he really does have a good temperament!

Thanks Val, if this is no good let me know and I will try again with the camera.

MARGE

Val

We collected Marge (we kept the name, small female mini-lop) from the GRR about one year ago - she had been returned to you once or twice before. She has been with us and her new husband, Benjamin, since, living happily in our garden during the summer and has the run of our shed in the wintertime. She likes runnning around our house too. When we got her, she had weak back legs and had trouble standing on her haunches. She has grown strong and is the fastest member of our house over a 30 yard dash. She is charming, inquisitive and friendly and is firmly in love with Mr Bunny. Thank you so much for our happy Marge Mrs Bunny.

BAILY & JACK

Hi

Sorry this is soooo late but Bailey, (the white and grey one) who we collected from you in June has settled in well. She still remains a little timid but her rabbit like behaviors: thumping, digging and eating our plants, has now rubbed off on our more established rabbit, Jack (also a rescue) who we have had for 6 years and whilst she has now stopped demolishing her living area he continues to try!

After a worrying first 48 hours together they both now seem to get on fine, they spend equal amounts of time together and apart but it is particularly lovely to see them hanging out together in the planter, as they are the picture, or basking in the sun together.

Thank you so much for selecting the right match for Jack and for letting us have Bailey, we really do have out work cut out with these two now but we wouldn’t change it for the world.

Kind regards

BARNY

Hi Val

I hope you are well.  It's Julie here, I bought a little rabbit (Barney) from you a few weeks ago and wondered if I could ask you a couple of questions?

First of all, Barney has had his first VHD and Mixy jabs and I noticed this week that he has developed a couple of scabs at the back of his neck, around about the same place of the injections.  One of them is healing now, but he has lost a bit of hair there.  The other one is a bit red and looks like it has been bleeding.  I put a little bit of savlon on it tonight and hope that calms it down.

Do you think they were caused by the injections?  Is this normal?

Also, we wre thinking of getting Barney a little friend.  Can you please let me know if you have any similar aged bunnies that you are looking to rehouse?  I guess if we get a doe we'd have to get Barney castrated and the new rabbit speyed, which is no problem.  I was just wondering if you had any 3-4 month old mini lop does?

Thanks for your help in the above, I have attached some more photos of Barney.

Best regards
Julie Jones

CHARLIE

Hi val,
You may remember us from about 4 weeks ago when when brought a 3 month old mini lop.
We've named him Charlie (or Chazz!) and he is certainly a big part of the family!!
We all love him to pieces and he enjoys running through his tunnel and gnawing on chunks of carrot!
He are a few pics to show how he's been and what he's been up to!
Many thanks for this funny bunny!

PENNY

Hi Val
Thought you like a quick update on Penny who we adopted from you in January.
She was spayed in February and once she was fully recovered we bonded her with our castrated buck (Priscilla) in March. It was virtually love at first sight and they have been very happy together since. We had ordered a new bunny house in January for both of them, it finally arrived last week and this weekend Penny & Priscilla moved in  - they have loads of room and they love it.

I've attached a couple of pics for you, hope you like

Kind regards

ARCHIE

Hi Val,

Just thought you'd like a little update on Archie who we adopted a few weeks ago.

He's doing great and is growing up fast!  He had his first trip outdoors today and loved it - please see attached pics!

Other than that he rules the house really :)

We're just waiting to get him neutered and then we can start introducing him to his companion to be.

Hope you're well and thanks again for letting us adopt him.

CORKY

Hi Val,

Just thought I would give you an update on Corky who I got from you a couple of
weeks ago. He has had his myxi jab and he is going back in a couple of days for
VHD. Him and Oreo get on really well and I have attached a photo of them in my
garden. The first day he went outside he didnt eat any grass but on the second
day he was eating everything in sight!! Currently neither of them are boss as
far as I can tell and they cuddle up together.

Also I wanted to say thanks for all the hard work that you do and please do
continue!

Jo

TOADY

Hi!

I hope you're well.

I just wanted to thank you! My housemate and I re homed a rabbit in January, (I think he was called Toady but he's now called Oscar)... He's been with us for three months now and he's a real soppy little character. As he's settled in it's been great to see him getting more confident, he loves running round his bunny-proofed rooms and making friends with the natives... Nothing he loves more than settling down in front of the television with a carrot and a lot of attention. He's even inspired a comic book character!

Thank you again,

Emily

BRACKEN

Hi Val, also sending over some happy pictutres of Bracken, he's a little monkey
crossed with a really cuddly bunny. He likes being held on his back with legs in
air being tickled. Love Leannexxx

HONEYBUN

Hi Val,
Thought you may like to see how "Little Mo" ( now Hunny Bunny) has settled in.  After a couple of sleepless nights with the cage rattling all night !!! I think Major has given up a bit. ! They now love to cuddle up to each other and wash each others ears. Hunny Bunny is still a bit nervous and is a nightmare to catch when shes out of the cage, just as well they are indoors at the moment. Dont know if I'd ever catch her when shes got the run of the garden !
Best wishes

JESSICA

Hi Val

Just wanted to give you an update on how our new bunny is settling in. We named her Jessica and she is doing really well. George just adores her. Things were pretty wild on Saturday, with him chasing her around the cage and lounge room. But by Sunday morning they were cuddled up in the corner together, grooming each other. It is really sweet to see them together and George seems so happy. Jessica is a really lovely, pretty girl. She is still quite shy and nervous about us, but I’m sure we will win her trust soon. Thanks for helping us find George such a great companion.

Hope you like these photos of them getting to know each other.

LUCKY

Hello Val

Thought i'd sent you an update on 'Lucky'... Since he has moved in with us his real character has really blossomed. He seems very happy because when its playtime he jumps right out of his cage and does blinky jumps. I think we are learning more about each other every day.. he even jumps up on the sofa to sit next to me and if I lie on the floor he will run up to to check if i'm ok. Thanks so much for letting me have him. I have re named him Reg because he has such charm and character. Today we are going in to get his first set of injections and in 2 weeks time he will have his second jab. I have attached a photo of Reg while he is relaxing in one of his favorite spots in my living room.

EASTER

Hi Val. We got a lovely mini lop bunny from you last year. We had named him Easter because he always sits like an Easter egg. He plays an important part in our life now.
btw, I attached some his lovely photos.

Sorsby

RALPH

Hi Val

Sorry not to have been in touch sooner but I was hoping to send you a photo of all 3 buns relaxing together. Sadly not possible as Splodge is still not happy with Ralph’s arrival! He is still trying to bonk her and she understandably isn’t happy. I am hoping when he is finally testosterone free that things will improve. Meanwhile he is living in the house with me and they take it in turns to have free rein in the sitting room. As you can see he is very happy and relaxed. He is HUGE!!!! He never stops eating and seems to be growing still. He is still very affectionate and I adore him.

Hope all is good with you and your buns.

Kind regards

FLIP FLOP

Hi Val,

Happy New Year from Hong Kong, and from Flip Flop in particular.

My wife Vivian was introduced to Flip Flop about two years ago now,
after her previous rabbit passed away.

You thought he was quite old and might not have that long left, and
despite our plans to emigrate, he could at least have a happy home
with us as we would be around for a little while to come.

Two years later, and as the photos show, Flip Flop is still doing very
well. If he is as old as you thought, he's never acted acted like it,
and since we took him he's enjoyed a new lease of life.

Last September we moved to Hong Kong, and Flip Flop is enjoying life
here, and is even eating hay now. He's a tough boy, and didn't seem to
be affected by the 12 hour flight or the jet-lag...

Wishing you all the best at home with with your very, very, worthwhile work.

Best wishes from Viv, Chris, and most of all, the thoroughly spoilt Flip Flip!

Dear Val,

i just thought i would give you an update on sunny (TJ) and how he is doing.
he is very cheeky and loves to dig holes everywhere some are even up to three ft long! Tj loves to play and around and also sleep alot during the day.
Tj is inseperable from his companion named coco, he goes where ever she goes and vise versa.
During the day they have there own run around which is very big, they also have a pen if they want to go in the actual garden and occasionaly they run around in the whole garden supervised. They both stay in a double decker hutch at night and then let out bright and early the following day.
Tj loves to have his head stroked and his cheeks =D
You can also check some videos i have made of Tj and coco on youtube heres the link:

TOFFEE

Hi Val, pics FINALLY as requested (sincere apologies).

First pic is of our Smudge (female lop on left), a real lady, who has left a big
empty hole in our hearts and is missed beyond words.

Second pic is of our precious Cocoa. We had her for such a short time before
her beautiful life was cut so suddenly short.

Finally we have Toffee who has joined our one eyed Fluffy. After having 2 such
loving and caring partners previously, he is spoiling Toffee rotten who, in
turn, is spoiling him rotten back – and he’s loving every minute of it!

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for all your support and
advice over the years.

SIMBA &NARLA

Hi

I am so sorry it has taken me so long to email you an update and pictures - they have both settled in well - they are booked in to be spayed soon and have had all their vaccinations.

I have sent you a picture of their new home - they seem to love being able to go in and out as they please - the ramp took a little getting used to but they soon mastered it - they still love to cuddle up and groom each other as well.

They are both getting much more curious and brave, and have definitely figures out people mean food - they come running when we go out to see them and sometimes are disappointed it is only cuddle time not dinnertime!

I have recommended you to my sister in law who is thinking of getting a rabbit so hopefully she will be up to see you soon (Lara)

Thanks ever so much - any more news I'll keep you updated

DODGER & MUFFIN

Hi Val,

Thought i would just send you a quick email to thank you for Dodger who we have renamed Stud our female being Muffin!!
Well we got him home and he is being spoilt rotten already. He loves his new hutch and garden. He has been trying to make friends with
Muffin altho she is not to sure at the moment. Every time he gets to close she runs off and tries to hide then she teases him running
circles around him. The have both been leaping around the garden and investigating each others hutches! He is very sweet and friendly
bunny and i am sure by the end of the week they will be getting along fine. We have taken a few pics of his first few hours at home with
his new friend. We are very pleased we chose him, altho all you rabbits are lovely and well looked after, very hard choice to chose just
one. Well i hope you like the pics and i will keep you updated on his progress with his girlfriend. As you can see from the pics they look very
much alike, i have added some pics of muffin for you to see.

Many thanks

NEW HOME

Hi Val,

do you remember me? I adopted that agouti minilop girl about a month ago. I had troubles bonding her with my Eliot at first but in a week they were already in love... So cute they almost make my teeth hurt!
So, as you asked, here are a couple of photos.

Thanks and best,  Valentina

JOEY AND LOLA

Hi Val,

a few weeks ago I had a beautiful young rex who had just been castrated from you. The hope was that he would live with my Continental Giant who's previous boyfriend had died before Christmas. I'm very happy to report that Joey and Lola are getting on wonderfully and have attached some pictures for you.

Thanks
Jan

Hiya

Just to let you know that Lois, the 9 year old female rabbit we got from you about a month ago is doing well. She and my other male rabbit are getting on great and bonded well immediately, they did not fight once since we got her. They love sleeping together and grooming each other. It is really nice to see them together and I believe that each others company will benefit both of them in their old age.

I have attached some pictures of Lois & my other male rabbit, Lois is the one on the left in the pictures.

Thank you!!!

Best wishes

Katarina

BRUNO

Hello Val,

Thought you might like to see a picture of 'Bruno' (the darker one) - we got him from you a couple of months ago as company for Arti, the lady rabbit in the picture, after a fox had taken our boy rabbit. Anyway, he's fine and has settled in well. We've had him neutered and Arti, too, at the clinic you recommended. They're very good, so thanks.

I've fenced off the entire patio and turned it into a giant playground for them, which I think they appreciate going by the amount of running and hopping they do. All in all it's worked out very well and I thought you'd like to know that all's well.

Best wishes and kind regards

Steve

HONEY & KLOOT

Hi there,

As promised, please find attached some pics of the guinea pigs we got from you last month.

Thanks

GEORGE & FUZZY

Hi Val
Just thought you might want to know, Rupert (now renamed George) who I got from you in the summer, has settled in well with my other rabbit, Fuzzy, after some very careful introduction meetings, combined with a little chocolate daubed on his coat.
Keep up the excellent re-homing work.
Best wishes
Lindsay

CHES,DAISY,DAVE

Hi Val,

Matt and I got two little Netherland Dwarfs from you in Oct. Sorry it's taken me so long to send photos. Matt built their house under the stairs so now Chesney and Daisy share the bottom floor and the two little one's have the top floor. They are both an absolute delight and are super friendly. They are both such pretty girls and we couldn't find names to do them justice so we finally settled on 'Dave 1' and 'Dave 2'. Dave 1(black) is very cute and tries her best to keep up with Dave 2 (Brown). Dave two is a real live wire and a dare devil. She's a real jumper so we're having to keep a careful eye on her! Dave 1 still needs a helping hand to climb onto the sofa to snuggle but she's getting there! I've attached a photo from when we were decorating and had stored some junk in the fire place. I found Dave 2 right on top of the pile doing her best to balance!!

I've also attached a recent photo of Chesney and Daisy so you can see how they're getting on.

Hope all is well with you.
Beth

Hi Val,

Also forgot to mention that Chesney and Daisy are our lucky mascots as they let us know we had a massive water leak. They kept running into the living room, running out and scratching on the bathroom door, trying to get in. They were doing this for ages until I finally went to see what all the commotion was about. Turned out we had a burst water pipe!!

Not only great companions but also psychic!!

Beth

BOBBY AND FLOPSY

Hi Val

I'm finally up and running with my camera and have sent you some lovely photos of Bobby and Flopsy playing in the garden. They have settled down really nicely together. They groom each other and rest their heads on each other's back, its really lovely to see - true companionship.

Flopsy is really funny, when anyone is out in the garden with her she comes straight up to you to say hello and she likes to get in on the act when I'm cleaning out her hutch. Bobby is slightly more aloof now, which is fine. I think he's glad to sit back and let Flopsy have all the attention.

I wonder if you could answer one question? What's the best way to litter train Flopsy? Bobby was great and didn't take long to litter train at all, I simply emptied his litter tray every day and hey presto, he was clean. Flopsy, however, urghhh! She does it everywhere and its a real nightmare because I feel I need to clean the whole cage all the time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Val.

BIGGLES AND OZZY

Hi Val

hope you are well. We adopted a dwarf lop from you in

February, then called Dylan, now called Biggles. I've

promised to send you some pics of Biggles and Ozzy and

here they are eating their dinner! Both are doing

great and they love each other and lick each others

faces and cuddle up close for a snooze! It's very

cute!

lots of love,

Mari & mark

HECTOR & HONEY

Dear Val,
I thought you'd like to know that Hector and Honey (as we've called her) are doing very well together. There hasn't been any fighting, and Hector stopped trying to mount her as soon as she made it clear to him that she wouldn't tolerate any of that nonsense!  Hector's adapted well to sharing his house with a girl bunny and Honey seems happy as anything in her new home and with her new boyfriend! Shes being doing lots of exploring and grooms and licks Hector a lot (which he is definitely happy about!).
Its been hard to get any good photos of them together as Honey hardly ever stops moving! But I'm attaching a few here for you to see.
Thanks for all your help with the bonding!
Hope you and all the bunnies are doing well!
Best wishes,
Amy and Hugo
and Hector and Honey

TOM & WIFE

Hiya,

It's Nicola, Tom & Penny's mum. The baby's are doing great, Penny's had her first jab & Tom has been given the all clear. His eyes are definately damaged but they're stable now. After a thorough examination, it turns out that Penny is 3-4 years old, a little nervous but otherwise fine. She's getting more bold by the day, Tom is naughty from the moment he wakes up till he goes to sleep again. They get on brilliantly & there's been no fighting or bullying at all.

They're in their run in the garden at the moment, gotta get them in soon. I like them to get as much fresh air as possible & they love the grass and dandellions. I move the run around the grass & they cut it for me, it's great - I only have to mow the front grass now!!

I'm attaching some photos for you of them both...

Have just got them in while the pics were downloading, Tom is now inspecting the fire place (it's blocked) & doing high speed laps of the lounge. Penny is sitting in the litter tray having a wash. Tom's running around with a cat's plastic bell ball in his mouth now, they love all of their toys!!

Anyway, I'll keep you updated & speak to you soon

Take care & be lucky

love Nicola, Chris, Tom & Penny x x x

POCKET & DUSTY

Joanna writes:
"Hi Valerie!,
It's been a long time but I wouldn't forget where I got my rabbits from,
would I. I brought two dwarf lop rabbits, one black and one--well I
couldn't really describe this one because she's lots of different
colours. Their names are Pocket (black one) and Dusty. Both are girls
and we are all very happy.
Joanna"

Thanks and thanks again for the bunnies, they are a great addition to
our lives.

HAZEL & GRETAL

    Hi,

This is Simon, myself and Adele had two of your guinea pigs back in April
and I'm writing to let you know that they have settled in really nicely. We
named them Hazel (the older ginger one) and Gretal (the baby one).

I have attached two pictures of them enjoying the sun on a lazy Sunday on
our balcony.

I hope everything is going well at the rescue centre and thanks again.

COOKIE & CREAM

Hi Val,

Here's a photo of the two wonderful rabbits we have had the pleasure of giving a home to, now called Cookie and Cream!
They're very cute together and clearly love each other a lot!  They settled in nicely and are a wonderful addition to our family.
They send their love as do we.  Keep up the great work and thanks!

MERLIN & TINA

Dear Val,

I'm sorry that it took me a little longer than intended to let you know how things went between Merlin and Tina but it's taken a while for us to get any decent photographs of them because they've been so busy running around the house, exploring everything together!

We were quite cautious in putting them together at first as you can see from the first photo. However, when we removed the cage lid to let the two of them greet each other properly, there was no fighting at all. On the contrary, it was love at first sight for Merlin who was absolutely delighted with his new companion. He chased Tina around the pen, making wonderful happy-rabbit noises (very rare for Merlin) and then flopped on his side with his paws in the air (we'd never seen him do this before). When Tina tired of running round, she let Merlin approach. She's played hard to get for the last week but tolerates Merlin's attention and approaches him too from time to time.

Tina seems very settled now and has been exploring everywhere, climbing up as high as she can for a good look-out post. She will let us pick her up and stroke her occasionally and is gradually becoming more interested in us - particularly when Merlin is getting attention.
Many thanks for all your help.

Kind regards,

Jo

MARY & CHARLIE

Hi Val - hope you are well.

We have had some computer problems so I have been unable to send you any photos up to now.

Mary and Charlie are now the greatest of friends - Mary is in charge and Charlie knows his place ! Mary loves exploring and will squeeze into the
smallest of gaps that she can find in the house.  They are both happy and healthy as you can see.

After an initial 'domestic' they are now living is blissful harmony and love nothing more that being out in the garden.  The boys are really pleased
with their pets and handle them and feed them every day.
Take care

MUFFIN

Hi Val,

I just wanted to write and let you know what I think of my new home, and my new servant.

I left your home and all my friends about 4 weeks ago now, and moved to Sydenham to be with Mary, and a new playmate called Tinker. He was down in the dumps after losing his playmate so I was drafted in!

He is much older and bigger than me, but I have already got him round to my way of thinking.  He has no front teeth, so luckily for me he is a little slower at picking up the best bits at feeding time!  We seem to be getting on ok right now, he gets a quick nip from me when I feel he is over stepping the mark but he is learning!!

I have quite a big garden that we run around in but I keep getting into trouble for digging, I am very good at it you know!!

Mary is learning what I like and don't like.  She has finally realised I am not over keen at being picked up,  I have given her many scratches, to help remind her.  She spends quite a lot of time out in the garden with us, so I suppose she is not too bad!

Thank you for looking after me so well until I found this new home.  You do a brilliant job and the bunnies that find their way to you are very lucky to have found you.

Lots of Love

Muffin, (aka, Digger)

Just thought we'd drop a line and let you know our bunny we picked up
in January is doing very well. She's very brave and will do almost
anything for a couple of raisins.
If she wants cuddling she'll nudge and lick you till she gets it and
recently she's started following us around and circling our feet
everywhere when she's inside. She absolutely loves shredding up
newspaper or toilet roll. A favourite trick of hers is to stand up the
cardboard toilet rolls as well.
She won't sit still on your lap, but she'll quite happily flop over
beside you and nuzzle her head into your hand when she wants to be
stroked.

Here are a few photos of her, in her run on the balcony and settling
down on the end of our bed.

She seems to have settled in very easily and has a good life with lots
of room to hop about and lots of cuddles and attention.

Thank you for the wonderful rabbit =)

OSCAR

Hi Val

I've finally managed to transfer some pictures of Oscar. The 8 week old mini lop boy we got from you in February.
First, I must thank you, ever since we brought him home, he has been nothing but pure entertainment and is adorable.  Anyone who ever said that rabbits are docile and unintelligent animals, obviously never had an Oscar.

He is eating well, loves hay, and have just started him on vegetables and fruit.  He has been vaccinated, and continues to treat each day as a new adventure.
He has truly become a son of the family, and is a joy to have.
Hope you get these pictures, although he constantly changes from day to day.....

Keep up the good work.

Alesha, Phil and of course 'Lord Oscar'

TINY

Hello Val,

Tiny has been with us for 3 weeks now. He was very shy
at the beginning and didn't want to walk on the wooden
floor in the house at all but since our family trip
down to the Isle of Wight the 3 of us are having fun!

He's got the full kitchen to play during the day and
at night, he's very happy to be able to go around the
house and not have to stay in his cage anymore. He's
spending most of his time sitting near to the window
watching the world go by in the garden. Bless him!

He loves sitting on my lap and asks for strokes. This
afternoon he was even sitting on the laptop! I think
he's not so shy after all, he's a little cheeky
rabbit!

Thank you so much again!

Vanessa, Simon and Tiny

(His tummy is ok by the way you were right he had too
many veggies, the vet was a bit worried and worried us
as well but he saw him again on Tuesday this week and
he's fine, thank God! We are going away in May for a
week so we are thinking about taking him to your place
for the week so you can see how he's doing, if that
will be ok?)

Hiya,

Spot (now called Herman Eric Spot) has settled in well.  There was no fighting – he just stomped in and made himself at home.  He ate all my rabbit’s food, chewed all her toys, tossed her litter tray upside down and stomped around her ‘bedroom’ – she chased him around a bit and then they both just lay down.  After an hour of silence I went to check and found them snuggled together in a corner with him grooming her!  He seems to adore her, she seems to quite like him – although she’d prefer if he didn’t toss the litter tray all over the place and wee in the corner!  He was quite shy but has come on enormously and is fine being handled.  He will sit on my lap for ages then start burrowing and biting!  He also tries to dig through the sofa when he sits on that too.  I’ll have to keep an eye on him when I let them out when they get their outside run.

Haven’t managed too many photos as have been keeping them mainly confined until he learns to use his tray and not play with it!!!!!  They are adorable together and she seems to enjoy the company (but not his voracious appetite!!!).

FLOPSY & TWICKERS

Val
Just a quick note to say that we paired up Flopsy with a young male from the rescue centre in Twickenham (hence he's now called Twickers) and they hit it off from the first moment they were put together. Have attached photos so you can see your rabbit is happy with her new mate and enjoying their new home...

TODDY

Hi Val,

As promised a couple of photos of Toady.  We have renamed him
Freddy.  He has settled in beautifully with Twiggy after pining for
his old partner Bailey.  They have the occasional chase around but on
the whole are happy together.  He has a lovely nature and likes to be
cuddled and stroked which is handy as the children all want to 'have
a hold'.

Thanks again for introducing us to him.  It was lovely to meet you
again along with all your lovely rabbits and guineas.

Love Dee.

DORRIS

Hi Val

just thought I'd let you know how Dorris is getting on; she's settled in
wonderfully, bossing Pete around and even coming to my hand when she's
free-range. She seems really happy and lively - and even gets on with the
dog. As I write, she and Pete are lying squidged together in the same litter
tray, which makes a change from her sitting on Pete.

hope all is going well with the bunnies!
Emma, Pete and Dorris

MAGGIE

Hi Val
Hope all is well?  Thank you so much for all of your help with finiding a girlfriend for Duke!  Maggie is lovely - leading Duke astray slightly as he's always following her lead!!  We tried to put little cat Christmas hats and scarves on them for their Christmas cards but it just wasn't happenning!  Maggie kept pulling her scarf off with her front two paws and Duke's scarf wouldn't even fit around his neck!  Looking forward to being at home with them lots over Christmas and showing them off to everyone.  We'll get those dust pan and brushes off to you in the post ASAP.  Have a very Happy Christmas and I'll send you a card when I've worked out how to do them!
Thanks again,
Sally and Doug xx

PETER

Hi Val

Don't know if you remember Pete - the fluffy lionhead crossbreed (I'll
attach a picture). He's getting on very well - he's lazing under the sofa as
I write - and has taken to scaring the dog I have now. I'm still debating
getting another bun for him to live with.

PIPER

ello Val
Attached (hopefully) is a photo taken recently, before I actually put the two bunnies together. They are together now and currently are racing around the house. Piper is still wanting to keep a bit of a distance between herself and Kenny but there is no actual fighting between them. She is losing her excess weight very quickly with the running around!

SNUGGLES

 Hi Val,
snuggles is really  cute he licks me all over my face for ages and he does'nt like being alone - wherever company is he always goes there !When I play the piano he jumps on the piano seat or sits under my feet.Snuggles loves attention! He loves playing with me and does loads of sidekicks in the air. It is great to have a rabbit again ( even though I like treating him like a baby). Thank you for Snuggles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

love,
Carissaxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Val,

How's the Rescue going? We still regularly visit your website, noticed Gilbert his brother on the lucky ones. I thought I'll update you on Snuggle's progress with us.

Its been 4 weeks since we took Snuggles home. The invamactin did sort out his fur mites even though he kicked most of the last dose out of my hands...the syringe went flying in the air. I've finally got over coping with his long fur he does need combing and the bum hair cut did sort out all the poo that got stuck! Guess what he is now losing all his long fur! I do hope it stays short. He's also spent this week as a sticky-up eared rabbit seem to have lost his helicopter ears must say he looks much more handsome now with the long hair loss and the sticky-up ears. No longer like a maggot when he hops about! He's a very different rabbit to Mango. Mango was very much like a cat independent in spirit and allowed cuddles only on his term. Snuggles on the other hand is very much like a puppy. Loves the attention and as Carissa mentioned in her email loves licking her face. I reckon he  thinks she's a rabbit like him. He also unfortunately likes chewing carpet, door frames, furniture, shoes and marking his territory with urine very much like a dog too! I'm trying to put a stop to it when we catch him spotting with urine he gets locked up in his cage for 10mins. Seems to be working. As to the chewing have started protecting all furniture and he does get told off when we catch him digging and chewing the carpet. He seems to have a fetish for fabrics as well, he now gets Chris's hand-me-down school shirts he particularly loves the collars. Hopefully he'll grow out of this baby phase. As a result he's still only allowed the run of the kitchen, downstairs toilet and hallway at the moment most of it only when supervised otherwise he gets locked in the toilet. Mango had the run of the downstairs by 4 weeks. To sum it up he is not as good a house rabbit as Mango but he more than makes up for it by his personality.

He loves his hay and would finish one of those metal balls in a day. Comes running to you when you call his name and greets all visitors with a good sniff around. Loves his dart and jump games and yes he's started the courtship dance circling round us now but no honking yet. He's lived up to his name and loves snuggling up with Carissa on the sofa. He's also a very reponsive rabbit. Carissa is teaching him how to beg and say yes when she asks him if he loves her. He now also weighs 1kg and seems much longer than Mango ever was but not big. Have started him on some greens this week.

MUFFIN & HAZEL

Hi Val,

I am very glad to say Muffin has settled in very well. I moved Hazel in with him last week as you know and after a day of him chasing her round on the Saturday, I woke to find them peacefully together on Sunday morning. I haven’t seen them have any cross words at all and they seem to be completely at ease with each other. I’m so glad they have found each other and now have someone to snuggle up to during the winter nights.

I am going to start converting the shed soon so that even when its raining they will still have a lot of room to run around if they can’t go outside. Their new hutch is big but I don’t like them stuck in there all the time.

I have attached some pictures and want to say thank you so much for all your help and advice, the work you do is brilliant and I have recommended you to my neighbours who were thinking of getting another rabbit.

Take care and goodbye for now.

Love from Jo Clark, Hazel and Muffin. xxx
