Hello - things are going very well with Flossie, as you can see from
the photo! We put her and Billy together straight away and they
immediately made friends, with no fisticuffs at all. She's a lovely
rabbit and the kids (6 of them!) are thrilled. Thank you very much
for seeing us this morning and for all your advice.

Dear Val,
Hello! I homed two rabbits from you at Easter. They are loving their new home, a
converted chicken run in the garden made rabbit friendly with lots of space to
play!! Now renamed Willow and Hunny Bunny, they are gradually becoming more
friendly and particularly like running free in the garden, stripping bark of my
apple tree ad tearing a cardboard box to shreds ( fresh one issued every week!).
Pics attached!

Hi Val
Thought you'd like to know that the two rabbits I picked up from you a couple of
months back are doing great and making light work of demolishing every plant
starting to come up.
Needless to say they're a fantastic duo and I love having them about.
Continuing my tradition of rabbit naming they're both called "Rabbit" (makes it
easier to remember).
Many thanks once again

Hey Val,
My boyfriend Mark and I came to get a bunny just before Valentines as a present for me! I was a bit indecisive but we took the one of your bunnies who we have named Archie Valentine!
He was very timid at first but after a month has turned into a really cheeky little fella who loves to binky around everywhere! We love him to pieces and we are thinking about coming back soon to get him a girlfriend, just need to get him castrated first
Thanks so much for all you do Val, your a star

Hi Val,
As promised, I am sending you some pictures of Flossie (brown) and Hamish (grey/chinchilla), who I gladly rehomed on about 5th December. They are brother and sister and part of a litter of 8 week old babies you had recently taken in as a result of their parents being mis sexed – not sure if you remember them?
Anyway, they have now both had their Myxi and VHD jabs and I’m waiting a few more weeks before Hamish can be castrated as he is bothering Flossie a LOT! Saying that, I think she’s the dominant one as, although they’re both keen on grooming each other, she gets more than her fair share. Girl Power!
I’m attaching a few pictures so you can see how they are growing. In some of these, you’ll notice they have really been enjoying the snow. They are house bunnies and took no house training at all, they just did it in their litter tray from day one.
They’re both settling in perfectly to their new home and love nothing more than grazing on veggies, straw, hay, pellets etc. and then sparking out in front of the fire. I can’t wait until the summer to see how they’ll behave outside having a run round.
I can’t imagine life without them now, they really make my house a ‘home’!
Anyway, thanks again and I hope the rescuing is still going well. It saddens me how many people abandon these lovely, intelligent, loveable animals but at least there are people like you and me to give them a better life that they deserve.
Alison, Flossie and Hamish

Hi
Sorry this is soooo late but Bailey, (the white and grey one) who we collected from you in June has settled in well. She still remains a little timid but her rabbit like behaviors: thumping, digging and eating our plants, has now rubbed off on our more established rabbit, Jack (also a rescue) who we have had for 6 years and whilst she has now stopped demolishing her living area he continues to try!
After a worrying first 48 hours together they both now seem to get on fine, they spend equal amounts of time together and apart but it is particularly lovely to see them hanging out together in the planter, as they are the picture, or basking in the sun together.
Thank you so much for selecting the right match for Jack and for letting us have Bailey, we really do have out work cut out with these two now but we wouldn’t change it for the world.
Kind regards

Hi Val
Thought you like a quick update on Penny who we adopted from you in January.
She was spayed in February and once she was fully recovered we bonded her with our castrated buck (Priscilla) in March. It was virtually love at first sight and they have been very happy together since. We had ordered a new bunny house in January for both of them, it finally arrived last week and this weekend Penny & Priscilla moved in - they have loads of room and they love it. ![]()
I've attached a couple of pics for you, hope you like
Kind regards

Hi Val,
Just thought I would give you an update on Corky who I got from you a couple of
weeks ago. He has had his myxi jab and he is going back in a couple of days for
VHD. Him and Oreo get on really well and I have attached a photo of them in my
garden. The first day he went outside he didnt eat any grass but on the second
day he was eating everything in sight!! Currently neither of them are boss as
far as I can tell and they cuddle up together.
Also I wanted to say thanks for all the hard work that you do and please do
continue!
Jo

Hi Val, also sending over some happy pictutres of Bracken, he's a little monkey
crossed with a really cuddly bunny. He likes being held on his back with legs in
air being tickled. Love Leannexxx

Hi Val
Just wanted to give you an update on how our new bunny is settling in. We named her Jessica and she is doing really well. George just adores her. Things were pretty wild on Saturday, with him chasing her around the cage and lounge room. But by Sunday morning they were cuddled up in the corner together, grooming each other. It is really sweet to see them together and George seems so happy. Jessica is a really lovely, pretty girl. She is still quite shy and nervous about us, but I’m sure we will win her trust soon. Thanks for helping us find George such a great companion.
Hope you like these photos of them getting to know each other.

Hi Val
Sorry not to have been in touch sooner but I was hoping to send you a photo of all 3 buns relaxing together. Sadly not possible as Splodge is still not happy with Ralph’s arrival! He is still trying to bonk her and she understandably isn’t happy. I am hoping when he is finally testosterone free that things will improve. Meanwhile he is living in the house with me and they take it in turns to have free rein in the sitting room. As you can see he is very happy and relaxed. He is HUGE!!!! He never stops eating and seems to be growing still. He is still very affectionate and I adore him.
Hope all is good with you and your buns.
Kind regards
Imogen

Hi Val,
Happy New Year from Hong Kong, and from Flip Flop in particular.
My wife Vivian was introduced to Flip Flop about two years ago now,
after her previous rabbit passed away.
You thought he was quite old and might not have that long left, and
despite our plans to emigrate, he could at least have a happy home
with us as we would be around for a little while to come.
Two years later, and as the photos show, Flip Flop is still doing very
well. If he is as old as you thought, he's never acted acted like it,
and since we took him he's enjoyed a new lease of life.
Last September we moved to Hong Kong, and Flip Flop is enjoying life
here, and is even eating hay now. He's a tough boy, and didn't seem to
be affected by the 12 hour flight or the jet-lag...
Wishing you all the best at home with with your very, very, worthwhile work.
Best wishes from Viv, Chris, and most of all, the thoroughly spoilt Flip Flip!![]()
then a few months later we got biscuit from you

Hi Val,
It's Sarah and Damaris here, we got lilly from your centre last Christmas after
our first rabbit died (mookie). We are very very happy with her and wanted to
send you a pic to show you how she's doing. We are also wanting to get a
companion for her .
Best wishes
Sarah and Damaris![]()

Hi Val, pics FINALLY as requested (sincere apologies).
First pic is of our Smudge (female lop on left), a real lady, who has left a big
empty hole in our hearts and is missed beyond words.
Second pic is of our precious Cocoa. We had her for such a short time before
her beautiful life was cut so suddenly short.
Finally we have Toffee who has joined our one eyed Fluffy. After having 2 such
loving and caring partners previously, he is spoiling Toffee rotten who, in
turn, is spoiling him rotten back – and he’s loving every minute of it!
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for all your support and
advice over the years.![]()

have settled in nicely from day one, her and Jasper are getting on really well and
she has also got use to our chickens as well now.
Here are some photos.
Hilary.

Hi Val
hope you are well. We adopted a dwarf lop from you in
February, then called Dylan, now called Biggles. I've
promised to send you some pics of Biggles and Ozzy and
here they are eating their dinner! Both are doing
great and they love each other and lick each others
faces and cuddle up close for a snooze! It's very
cute!
lots of love,
Mari & mark

Just thought you'd like to see Thomas in his new home (thats his new
name)!!!
He has settled in very well and is enjoying the sunshine.
He is absolutely adorable and the friendliest bunny we have ever come
across. He likes nothing more than snuggling down for a cuddle.
Take care

TYSON AND HIS NEW WIFE HAVE GONE TO LIVE WITH A FRIEND OF THE RESCUE, THEY ARE BOTH VERY HAPPY.
Hi Val, Here are some photos of Hamish who is very happy in his new
home and is now getting along well with his new friend Ingrid.
Thanks for everything, Alastair and Nick

Joanna writes:
"Hi Valerie!,
It's been a long time but I wouldn't forget where I got my rabbits from,
would I. I brought two dwarf lop rabbits, one black and one--well I
couldn't really describe this one because she's lots of different
colours. Their names are Pocket (black one) and Dusty. Both are girls
and we are all very happy.
Joanna"
Thanks and thanks again for the bunnies, they are a great addition to
our lives.

Hi,
This is Simon, myself and Adele had two of your guinea pigs back in April
and I'm writing to let you know that they have settled in really nicely. We
named them Hazel (the older ginger one) and Gretal (the baby one).
I have attached two pictures of them enjoying the sun on a lazy Sunday on
our balcony.
I hope everything is going well at the rescue centre and thanks again.
Simon and Adele

Dear Val,
I'm sorry that it took me a little longer than intended to let you know how things went between Merlin and Tina but it's taken a while for us to get any decent photographs of them because they've been so busy running around the house, exploring everything together!
We were quite cautious in putting them together at first as you can see from the first photo. However, when we removed the cage lid to let the two of them greet each other properly, there was no fighting at all. On the contrary, it was love at first sight for Merlin who was absolutely delighted with his new companion. He chased Tina around the pen, making wonderful happy-rabbit noises (very rare for Merlin) and then flopped on his side with his paws in the air (we'd never seen him do this before). When Tina tired of running round, she let Merlin approach. She's played hard to get for the last week but tolerates Merlin's attention and approaches him too from time to time.
Tina seems very settled now and has been exploring everywhere, climbing up as high as she can for a good look-out post. She will let us pick her up and stroke her occasionally and is gradually becoming more interested in us - particularly when Merlin is getting attention.
Many thanks for all your help.
Kind regards,
Jo

Just thought we'd drop a line and let you know our bunny we picked up
in January is doing very well. She's very brave and will do almost
anything for a couple of raisins.
If she wants cuddling she'll nudge and lick you till she gets it and
recently she's started following us around and circling our feet
everywhere when she's inside. She absolutely loves shredding up
newspaper or toilet roll. A favourite trick of hers is to stand up the
cardboard toilet rolls as well.
She won't sit still on your lap, but she'll quite happily flop over
beside you and nuzzle her head into your hand when she wants to be
stroked.
Here are a few photos of her, in her run on the balcony and settling
down on the end of our bed.
She seems to have settled in very easily and has a good life with lots
of room to hop about and lots of cuddles and attention.
Thank you for the wonderful rabbit =)

Hi Val
I've finally managed to transfer some pictures of Oscar. The 8 week old mini lop boy we got from you in February.
First, I must thank you, ever since we brought him home, he has been nothing but pure entertainment and is adorable. Anyone who ever said that rabbits are docile and unintelligent animals, obviously never had an Oscar.
He is eating well, loves hay, and have just started him on vegetables and fruit. He has been vaccinated, and continues to treat each day as a new adventure.
He has truly become a son of the family, and is a joy to have.
Hope you get these pictures, although he constantly changes from day to day.....
Keep up the good work.
Alesha, Phil and of course 'Lord Oscar' |
Hello Val,
Tiny has been with us for 3 weeks now. He was very shy
at the beginning and didn't want to walk on the wooden
floor in the house at all but since our family trip
down to the Isle of Wight the 3 of us are having fun!
He's got the full kitchen to play during the day and
at night, he's very happy to be able to go around the
house and not have to stay in his cage anymore. He's
spending most of his time sitting near to the window
watching the world go by in the garden. Bless him!
He loves sitting on my lap and asks for strokes. This
afternoon he was even sitting on the laptop! I think
he's not so shy after all, he's a little cheeky
rabbit!
Thank you so much again!
Vanessa, Simon and Tiny
(His tummy is ok by the way you were right he had too
many veggies, the vet was a bit worried and worried us
as well but he saw him again on Tuesday this week and
he's fine, thank God! We are going away in May for a
week so we are thinking about taking him to your place
for the week so you can see how he's doing, if that
will be ok?)
Hiya,
Spot (now called Herman Eric Spot) has settled in well. There was no fighting – he just stomped in and made himself at home. He ate all my rabbit’s food, chewed all her toys, tossed her litter tray upside down and stomped around her ‘bedroom’ – she chased him around a bit and then they both just lay down. After an hour of silence I went to check and found them snuggled together in a corner with him grooming her! He seems to adore her, she seems to quite like him – although she’d prefer if he didn’t toss the litter tray all over the place and wee in the corner! He was quite shy but has come on enormously and is fine being handled. He will sit on my lap for ages then start burrowing and biting! He also tries to dig through the sofa when he sits on that too. I’ll have to keep an eye on him when I let them out when they get their outside run.
Haven’t managed too many photos as have been keeping them mainly confined until he learns to use his tray and not play with it!!!!! They are adorable together and she seems to enjoy the company (but not his voracious appetite!!!).

Hi Val
just thought I'd let you know how Dorris is getting on; she's settled in
wonderfully, bossing Pete around and even coming to my hand when she's
free-range. She seems really happy and lively - and even gets on with the
dog. As I write, she and Pete are lying squidged together in the same litter
tray, which makes a change from her sitting on Pete.
hope all is going well with the bunnies!
Emma, Pete and Dorris
Hi Val
Hope all is well? Thank you so much for all of your help with finiding a girlfriend for Duke! Maggie is lovely - leading Duke astray slightly as he's always following her lead!! We tried to put little cat Christmas hats and scarves on them for their Christmas cards but it just wasn't happenning! Maggie kept pulling her scarf off with her front two paws and Duke's scarf wouldn't even fit around his neck! Looking forward to being at home with them lots over Christmas and showing them off to everyone. We'll get those dust pan and brushes off to you in the post ASAP. Have a very Happy Christmas and I'll send you a card when I've worked out how to do them!
Thanks again,
Sally and Doug xx

Hi Val
Don't know if you remember Pete - the fluffy lionhead crossbreed (I'll
attach a picture). He's getting on very well - he's lazing under the sofa as
I write - and has taken to scaring the dog I have now. I'm still debating
getting another bun for him to live with.
ello Val
Attached (hopefully) is a photo taken recently, before I actually put the two bunnies together. They are together now and currently are racing around the house. Piper is still wanting to keep a bit of a distance between herself and Kenny but there is no actual fighting between them. She is losing her excess weight very quickly with the running around!
Catherine
Hi Val,
I am very glad to say Muffin has settled in very well. I moved Hazel in with him last week as you know and after a day of him chasing her round on the Saturday, I woke to find them peacefully together on Sunday morning. I haven’t seen them have any cross words at all and they seem to be completely at ease with each other. I’m so glad they have found each other and now have someone to snuggle up to during the winter nights.
I am going to start converting the shed soon so that even when its raining they will still have a lot of room to run around if they can’t go outside. Their new hutch is big but I don’t like them stuck in there all the time.
I have attached some pictures and want to say thank you so much for all your help and advice, the work you do is brilliant and I have recommended you to my neighbours who were thinking of getting another rabbit.
Take care and goodbye for now.
Love from Jo Clark, Hazel and Muffin. xxx
